About & contact
MEGA MAROLI started as a game built for my own kids — and then it kept growing.
Why this game exists
Most free browser games for children are buried under pop-ups, forced sign-ups and timers that push you towards a purchase. MEGA MAROLI is the opposite: you open the page and you are already playing. No account, no download, no reading required — a child who can drag a finger across a screen can play it.
It is a modern take on the classic block-breaker: one paddle, a bouncing ball, twenty levels of colourful blocks, falling coins worth 25, 50 or 100 points, and a small shop where those coins buy a special ball for the next level.
What makes it different
- Three modes with real consequences: Normal, Fast and BEAST. Faster balls mean a higher score multiplier, so bravery pays off.
- Coins that mean something: a coin is worth exactly the points printed on it, and the more valuable a coin is, the faster it drops — you have to earn it.
- A shop between levels: Double Ball, Explosive Ball and Disco Ball, each lasting one level, so every round starts with a decision.
- Built for a phone first: the whole game fits one screen with the paddle raised so your thumb never covers it.
- Works offline: one tap installs the game for aeroplanes, cars and patchy Wi-Fi.
- A global top 10: beat it and your alias stays there for everyone to see.
Who it is for
Roughly ages 4 and up. Younger players do fine in Normal mode; older kids and parents tend to end up arguing over the BEAST leaderboard. There is no chat, no messaging and no way for players to contact each other — the only thing a player can type is a 10-character leaderboard alias.
How it is made
MEGA MAROLI is a small independent project. The game runs entirely in your browser on an HTML canvas; the only thing stored on a server is the global top 10 list. It is free to play and there is nothing to buy — the coins are in-game points only, never real money.
